Academic Inpatient Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Overview

The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, McMaster University, in conjunction with Hamilton Health Sciences, is seeking a full‑time academic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist to provide care at McMaster Children’s Hospital (MCH). This full‑time position (35 hours per week) lasts 36.5 months and is located at the McMaster Health Campus.

The successful candidate will join the current McMaster complement of inpatient child and adolescent psychiatrists, pediatric psychologists, and allied health professionals. The Child and Youth Mental Health Program, Acute Mental Health Services at McMaster Children’s Hospital includes a 22‑bed inpatient unit, a 6‑bed Mental Health Assessment Unit and emergency mental health service, and a Consult‑Liaison Service.
