2nd Engineer (2/e) Bulkcarrier

Join OSM Thome as 2nd Engineer on a bulk carrier trading worldwide. Take an active role in running and maintaining the engine room, supporting safe and efficient vessel operations.
- **Key responsibilities**:
- Assist Chief Engineer in daily engine room operations and maintenance
- Monitor and maintain main engine, auxiliary engines and machinery
- Carry out planned maintenance and repairs as per PMS
- Supervise engine room crew and ensure safe working practices
- Keep engine room logs, records and reports up to date
- Assist in bunkering operations and fuel/lube oil management
- Support all safety, environmental and ISM/ISPS procedures onboard
- **Requirements**:
- Valid 2nd Engineer (III/2) CoC for seagoing vessels
- Experience as 2/E on bulk carriers preferred
- Valid STCW certificates and seafarer medical fitness
- Good English communication skills
- Strong technical skills and hands-on approach in the engine room
