Position: Power Engineer, 2nd Class

Requirements

• Education/Certification: Ontario (TSSA) Power Engineering License.
• Experience with operating boiler equipment via DCS & their auxiliaries is an asset.
• Willing to learn in a fast-paced industrial environment.
• Participation in the current training matrix for progression toward the next highest Power Engineering license.
• Strong level of maturity, interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs testing on all boilers and condensate systems.
• Assists with the operation of gas boilers.
• Adjusts chemical feed rates to maintain residuals.
• Visually checks equipment under the operator’s care (fans, stokers, grates, dampers, valves, and controllers) on all levels of the Steam & Effluent Plant.
