2D CAD Designer – Mechanical

This is a remote position. About Company: An OEM manufacturing machines for the steel and copper industries downstream strip processing equipment used after hot rolling (levelers, slitting lines, cut-to-length lines, scalping and milling lines). We are looking for an experienced detailer who can independently produce complete, manufacturable part drawings from general assembly drawings. Work is assigned as discrete drawing packages, so it can run alongside your existing job or other freelance work. What You Will Do Prepare detailed part, sub-assembly and fabrication drawings from GA drawings and layouts. Apply correct dimensioning, GD&T, fits, surface finish and welding symbols. Specify material grades, heat treatment and hardness requirements in drawing notes. Select standard hardware metric fasteners (M5 to M36), keys, dowels, circlips, bearings, seals.
