Job Overview

The Township of Langley is currently recruiting for up to four regular full-time Animal Control Officers to join our team of professionals in the Bylaw Enforcement Division, Bylaw Enforcement Operations Department. Reporting to the Manager, Bylaw Community Safety, in this unionized position you will be responsible for inspections and regulatory work related to animal control. While working within established procedures and policies, this position involves extensive public relations contact and requires a considerable level of tact and diplomacy. 
Responsibilities
Patrol assigned areas including roads, parks and public spaces for animal control bylaw violations
Investigate animal-related complaints and issue written notices or tickets for violations
Catch/seize dangerous, stray and feral animals and injured wildlife, arrange veterinary and transport/rescue animals in emergency situations including fires and floods, a...
