Global Capital Markets Internship Morgan Stanley's Global Capital Markets (GCM) division responds with market judgment and ingenuity to clients' capital needs. Whether executing an IPO, a debt offering, or a leveraged buyout, GCM integrates expertise across Sales & Trading and Investment Banking to deliver seamless advice and sophisticated solutions. GCM Strategists work closely with bankers, traders, and other Strategist teams across the firm, using financial engineering, mathematical modelling, data science, and software development to analyse markets, products, and transactions. Strategist interns are embedded within banking teams and provide quantitative analysis, data-driven insights, and customized tools to deliver bespoke solutions. The successful candidate will work alongside IT, other Strategists, and senior stakeholders in a highly dynamic environment with global exposure. We are looking for self-motivated individuals to join our Global Capital Markets (GCM) Internship Program in a rapidly growing team in Budapest. You will gain hands-on experience solving real business problems at the intersection of finance and technology. We Offer: Minimum 6-month hybrid internship with potential for full-time conversion Flexible working arrangement can vary between 20/30/40 hours per week Opportunity to contribute to key data initiatives within Global Capital Markets and the broader Institutional Securities Group Strong global exposure, working with teams and senior stakeholders across major financial centres, including New York Hands-on experience at the intersection of finance, data, and technology Roles and responsibilities: Partner with COOs, Strategists and Controllers globally to develop metrics that provide actionable business insights and automate processes to improve productivity Engineer reporting solutions, including setting up data feeds, optimizing data storage, and implementing metric calculations Create and maintain data-driven analytics and financial models used to support capital markets and investment banking activities Requirements: Ongoing studies (BSc, MSc) in quantitative field (e.g., Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering or Finance/Economics) with a valid student status for minimum 6 months after joining Strong interest in financial markets and investment banking Hands-on experience in any widespread programming language (e.g., Python, C++, Java, JavaScript) Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot or other Large Language Models (LLM)) Ability to work with a strong sense of urgency while maintaining attention to detail Fluency in English, both verbal and written If you are interested in the above opportunity, please apply here by submitting your English CV.
