1:1 Teaching Assistant – Sherborne

Location: Primary School, Sherborne | Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm | Pay: £89 – £95 per day

This role is to support a Key Stage 1 pupil with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs in a well-regarded primary school in Sherborne. The successful candidate will contribute to a nurturing and structured learning environment and help the pupil reach their full potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistent one-to-one support tailored to the needs of a KS1 pupil with SEMH requirements
• Collaborate with the class teacher to deliver differentiated learning activities
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and independence
• Assist with classroom preparation, small group interventions, and supervision during playtimes
• Monitor and document pupil progress, contributing to the child’s personalised support plan
