Position Overview
Aspire People are recruiting for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a school located in Grimsby, Lincolnshire. The role is full-time, temp-to-perm, starting immediately. Working hours are 08:30 - 15:30, working 1:1 with students with various learning difficulties and special educational needs. The role requires a high level of resilience and ideally energetic people with experience working with children with social emotional and mental health needs.
Responsibilities
- Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
- Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
- Create a safe learning environment for pupils
- De‑escalate behaviour that challenges through the forming of trusting relationships
Qualifications
- Recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH
