1:1 Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant

Do you want direct school‑based SEN experience before moving into educational or clinical psychology? Could you provide calm, consistent 1:1 support that helps a child with autism and ADHD feel settled, understood, and ready to learn?

Compensation: £85 – £101 per day.

Contract: September 2026 to July 2027.

The Role

Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child with autism and ADHD across the school day. You will help the pupil follow routines, stay engaged in learning, manage transitions, and access classroom activities more confidently, while feeding back clearly to the class teacher and SENCO. Schools are expected to follow the SEND Code of Practice and use a graduated approach to identifying needs, putting support in place, and reviewing its impact.
